Kopke Group

For many years, Sogevinus was the name of the group.

It became a name they grew fond of. But the world has changed and so have they.

They define themselves as a global heritage wine company. And with that ambition comes the need for a name recognised around the world. Among their portfolio are some of the greatest names in wine. But the choice was clear: Kopke. Kopke is their oldest Port wine brand, with a heritage that dates back to 1638. It stands as the elder sibling, capable of representing, with dignity and majesty, all its sister wines, both Port and Douro. But its reach extends beyond wine. As a corporate brand, the Kopke Group will represent the full breadth of their universe: wines, estates, wineries, cellars, hotels, restaurants, and events. It will also carry forward all future ventures yet to be launched. Kopke is a name the world already knows. From now on, there will be two distinct brands: one for the product, Kopke wines, and one for the company, Kopke Group. Crafted by the creative agency Wonder\Why and designed by Luis Mileu.

Star of the Company
Like a vine, everything grows from the logo. Ours is formed by eight bunches of grapes, symbolising our wine heritage. Together, they reveal a star between them—it is our guiding light, our sky, our essence, found in wine and all things wine-related.

Typography
We chose a modern classic, a typeface that balances tradition with modernity.
