I have only been to India once, in 2015, for three I have only been to India once, in 2015, for three weeks. I started in Mumbai and stayed for two or three days before continuing my journey through Rajasthan. The hotel was a very simple guesthouse, right in the city’s epicentre, recommended by @tiagofigueiredo

And what an impact it was... Mumbai is a city of extreme contrasts, a vibrant metropolis where the energy never slows and where millions of lives intersect in a rhythm that feels almost impossible to grasp. Even in its center, where you do not see the Bollywood characters one might expect, living conditions vary drastically, often separated by just a few meters, within a social structure still deeply influenced by caste reality. You can literally feel these layers just by looking at the street: those who live there, those leaning against the pavement, those who sleep on the sidewalk, those living in small wooden shacks, and further back, those in brick structures, still very humble.

Within this harshness, there is also an immense strength, a resilient humanity that carries on every single day, despite everything.

This photograph was part of the exhibition Entre Nós Estamos Todos, “Between Us, We Are All Here.”
The Khlong Toei Market is considered the largest f The Khlong Toei Market is considered the largest fresh market in Bangkok, and also one of the most authentic. There is no staging here, it is a market designed for those who live and work in the city.

At Khlong Toei Market, cats and rats cross paths between the stalls, and when the night stretches on, bodies find rest as if it were a scene, carefully arranged and prepared to be photographed.

This triptych was presented in the recent exhibition, “Entre Nós Estamos Todos.”
